Henry Brown Mansion - two ghost stories

“Many small things disappear in our home....”

 When we first moved in, in 1972, our thirteen year old son stayed in the Guest Room, while his room was still being worked on, and he swears he could hear an old man slowly coming up the stairs, huffing and puffing. The man then sat on my son's bed while trying to catch his breath. My son said he actually saw the bed sink down where the man sat. This happened many times until our son's room was finished.

A psychic, who can see the spirits of people who have passed, drives by our place often. She always seems to see something each time she goes by. Often she sees a little girl playing on the main front stone steps, and one day she stopped and talked with the little girl. Many small things disappear in our home - only to be found later on - and this little girl told the psychic that she is the one who moves things. Apparently she passed away here - but we don`t have much information about some of the people who lived here, so do not know her name.

Recently, a noted psychic was invited to my cousin`s house in Cape Vincent. My cousin had a group of ladies come, and invited the psychic to come and see who would "come thru". I was shocked when the psychic said this little girl (who plays here) rode in his car with him to my cousin`s home. The only explanation I have is that before we went to my cousin`s place, I mentally asked my family to try to come thru, if they had any messages for me. The little girl must have somehow picked that up because she showed up at his house and rode to Cape Vincent with him. He said she is not "stuck" here - she loves our house, and comes all the time and plays here. She told the psychic that she`s going to hide something of mine!!
